Many people's hearts were touched by the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12, 2010. One day on the computer, I read about the children that were being dropped off at the hospitals. Nobody knew who they were and if they had any family. I mentioned to Jason that we should go and get one of them. I certainly was not very serious. The thought didn't leave his mind or mine. Hmmm.....were we supposed to be adopting? After a few days, we discussed things. We decided to pursue adoption from a different country. We knew it was a leap of faith. I was told by someone that God put this in our hearts and it was a leap of faith and we were to JUMP! God would provide! Looking back over the past years, we know that God does answer prayers. He answers prayers in HIS way and not ours. Therefore how we came up with the title for our blog site of "unanswered prayers." The song by Garth Brooks says, "Some of God's greatest gifts, are unanswered prayers." This is most certainly true. We know with all of our of hearts that this is meant to be. We know God is in control and that this is His plan. We welcome all of you to travel this journey with us. We know it will be a roller coaster of a ride, but we know that God is with us every step of the way! We can't wait until the day when we get to meet the newest member of our family. :)
